Kortgene and Kamperland are small villages situated on the island of Noord-Beveland, next to Veerse Meer.
Kamperland offers peace and quiet and beautiful scenery. The well-known Kamperduin dunes offer good opportunities for a walk.
Due to the 1953 floods, the historic part of the city of Kortgene was destroyed. Only the tower of the 15th-century church still stands tall.
The famous bell Suzanne in this tower came to Holland from the island of Noirmoutier during the war with France.
Thanks to the location on Veerse meer, these villages are very popular with water sports enthusiasts. During the summer Kortgene and Kamperland are very lively villages.
