Visit Breskens

Breskens, part of the seventeen-kilometre-long coastline of Western Zeeland of Flanders, has always been a fishermen's town. Characterized by the harbour with its modern fishery where various types of fish can be tasted and bought, Breskens also houses a trade port, a ferry port and a marina. In the past few years, the marina was thoroughly updated.

No more than a narrow channel in the 19th century, it evolved to a fashionable harbour with 600 berths and an open connection to the sea. Internationally famous ships, such as the Rucanor and Formidable, harbour regularly in the marina. In short, a perfect meeting place for young and old.

Armed with a fresh fish sandwich, you will be ready to admire the yachts. The numerous restaurants offer a diverse range of fish specialities.
