Scharendijke is directly situated at the Grevelingenmeer and the North Sea beaches. It has a cosy town centre with about twenty modern shops and is a well-loved place for diving. Scharendijke is well suited for an active holiday or trip. Daily ships leave from the marina for dive trips in the Grevelingenmeer. You can walk easily from your boat to the beach; the nearest beach is just 10 minutes away! At the beaches of the Brouwersdam and the North Sea there's plenty of space for windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing and powerkiting. But you can also find a dune and wood landscape just out of Scharendijke where you can walk and have a picnic. Here you can visit the Pavilion, an ancient “toll house” and lookout in wartimes, with a spectacular view on the Grevelingen.
