The island of Tholen, an unspoiled island in the province of Zeeland, is surrounded by the clear salt water of the Oosterschelde Estuary. The scenery, still without skyline pollution, can be enjoyed and explored by bicycle or on foot. There is a range of safe bicycle and walking routes all over the island. Nature reserves are within easy reach of the marinas of Tholen, Sint Annaland and Stavenisse.
Marina “De Kogge” is situated in the old city of Tholen. It has lovely streets with beautifully restored 15th and 16th-century houses, a church, mill, town hall and old star-shaped ramparts. The town hall (1460) was built in late Gothic style.
Club “de Kogge” offers visitors a warm welcome in their new clubhouse, opened in April 2006.
Sint Annaland is a picturesque Open Ring village. The village itself and its surroundings are well worth a stroll. The recently expanded tidal Marina of WSV Sint Annaland lies near the marshes and shoals of the Krabbekreek, which is considered a paradise for divers. In the cozy clubhouse you can not only enjoy the food, but also the magnificent views of the creek, used by various craft as an excellent and sheltered anchorage. A small beach and a children’s playground provide space for leisure activities.
