Poolbeg Marinaa

Marina information

number of berths100

The marina is located on the south side of the River Liffey and is within the heart of the commercial Dublin docklands. In 2005 the marina underwent re-development with the construction of a new clubhouse and enlarged marina. The facility offers fully serviced berths for 100 vessels on floating pontoons with sufficient depth for most vessels at all stages of the tide.
The marina pontoons are opposite a commercial terminal and dock basin entrance where caution should be taken. In addition this stretch of water on the river is part of the busy shipping channel. Shipping traffic is particularly busy during 0600-1000hrs and 1800- 2200hrs.The approaches of the Dublin Port/Bay are subject to the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) and note fast ferry craft. Upstream of the marina is the East-Link toll lift-bridge which leads into the main section of the River Liffey and the city centre.

Visit Dublin

The capital of Ireland, located midway along the east coast with its large and embracing bay and the backdrop of the Dublin Mountains, is a thriving vibrant city known for its legendary welcome. The 'Fair City', epitomised in sweet Molly Malone's 'Cockles and Mussels', is renowned for its numerous literary figures. On June 16 Dubliners celebrate 'Bloomsday', the day on which James Joyce's literary masterpiece 'Ulysses' is set throughout the capital. The city retains some splendid examples of Georgian streets and squares and also an emerging modern Dublin is rapidly reflected in a cosmopolitan nature. The city centre's main thoroughfares are O'Connell Street,Westmoreland Street and Dame Street. Explore the city's museums, art galleries and the famous grounds of Trinity College. Nearby this centre of academia are Grafton Street, the city's premier shopping street, and the 'cultural quarter' of Temple Bar.This is area of cobbled streets brimming with art galleries, specialist shops, art-house cinema, pubs, restaurants and night clubs.
